All new supervisors are required to complete a supervisory development program per s.230.046 (2), Wis. Stats. To meet this requirement, agencies either develop agency specific supervisory curriculum or send their supervisors to the DPM training. DPM currently offers two workshops:

This is a three-day training program for supervisors and managers, consisting of topics in human resources and personnel management. The presenters for this training are DPM staff who have direct professional experience in the areas they teach.

Day 2 – BEI/EEO (8:30-11:30), Performance Evaluations (12:30-4:30)
Day 3 – EAP Overview (8:30-10:00), Employment Relations (10:00-4:00)

This two-day workshop-style development program explores core management skills and competencies most critical to supervisory effectiveness. The workshop focuses on emotional intelligence in the workplace, problem-solving and decision making, change management, and accountability in teams.
