About ETF's My Benefits Portal
The
My Benefits portal offers access to ETF-administered applications. Currently the portal allows State of Wisconsin employees to access
My Annual Statement of Benefits (WRS statements).
The
My Benefits portal requires a MyWisconsin ID (see below). If you have not created a MyWisconsin ID and activated the My Benefits portal, we encourage you to get started. ETF has an
introductory video and help page on the
My Benefits page under the “First Time Access” heading.

My Insurance Benefits
Beginning May 1, 2026, ETF will add a second self-service application to their My Benefits portal called
My Insurance Benefits.
My Insurance Benefits will replace benefit administration in STAR ESS. ETF's new software will allow all eligible state employees to:
- Enroll in benefits when you are hired
- Enroll in and/or change benefits during open enrollment
- Initiate your own benefit changes when you have a life event such as marriage, birth, adoption, etc. Employees will submit required supporting documentation in
My Insurance Benefits as well.
- View your insurance coverage and pre-tax savings account information at any time

MyWisconsin ID is the State of Wisconsin’s identity solution, tied to a personal email address (not a .gov address) that allows you to securely access participating online state services, including ETF’s My Benefits portal, using a single user ID and password.
