In accordance with ER 2.04, Wis. Adm. Code, classification specifications are the basic authority for classifying positions. After a position description is developed the Human Resources staff review the document and match it to the most appropriate classification specifications to formally determine the position's classification. The Division of Personnel Management creates, modifies and abolishes classification specifications based on the needs of the service.
The classification specifications listed below are grouped alphabetically by the first word of the classification specification title. In some instances the classification specification represents an entire classification series and in other instances there may be a separate document for each level or part of the series of titles.
