​Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

​The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan, while working full-time for a qualifying employer. ​You may be able to qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program if you work for Wisconsin State Government.

If you are working toward PSLF, you should complete and submit the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) & Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) Certification & Application annually or when you change employers. Send the completed form with your employer’s certification to MOHELA, the U.S. Department of Education’s federal loan servicer for the PSLF Program. You may upload the form if MOHELA is already your servicer, otherwise fax your form to 866-222-7060 or mail it to this address:

After you make your 120th qualifying monthly payment on the Direct Loan, you will need to submit the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) & Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) Certification & Application.
